a shared cookbook, kept by everyone who cooks

Recipes worth passing on.

The Shared Table is a plain, unglamorous place to put the recipes you actually cook — the weeknight one you make from memory, the cake that only works with the right oven, the thing your grandmother never wrote down. Post it with a photo, tell people where it came from, and let the ones who cook it say so.

Free to join. No ads, no paywall, no algorithm deciding what you see — just the recipes people have posted, newest first.

why bother

A cookbook nobody owns

Recipe sites are mostly a wall of life stories above a list of ingredients, wrapped in pop-ups. This one is the opposite: the recipe is the point, the photo is proof you made it, and the like button is how a good one rises to the top.

Everything you post stays yours. You can edit it or take it down whenever you like from your own page, and the site owner keeps a light hand on things — removing spam, fixing mistakes, nothing more.
